Maryland-Purdue Postgame Notes

COLLEGE PARK, Md. -

-          The Terrapins have scored 173 points through four games – a Maryland program record. The previous best was 159 in 2013.

-          True freshman Lorenzo Harrison became the first freshman in Maryland history to score a touchdown in each of his first four games. He finished the games with 78 yards on six carries (13.0/c).

-          Sophomore Ty Johnson finished the game with a career-high 204 yards on seven carries (29.1 yards/c) and two touchdowns. It was the most for a Maryland running back since Brandon Ross totaled 245 rushing yards against Indiana on Nov. 21, 2015.

-          Maryland won the game by 43 points, marking the greatest margin of victory in a conference game since defeating Wake Forest, 62-14, on Oct. 30, 2010. That game was also on Homecoming.

-          Maryland accumulated 400 yards rushing – marking the first time it hit the 400-yard plateau since totaling 401 rushing yards in the 2015 season finale against Rutgers.

-          Maryland also held Purdue to just 10 total rushing yards. The last time it held an opponent to 10 yards or less was against Boston College (8 yards) on Oct. 27, 2012.

-          Maryland's 29-point halftime lead was its largest-ever against a Big Ten opponent.

-          Senior Teldrick Morgan caught his first career touchdown pass in a Maryland uniform, and later caught another touchdown. It was the second time in his career he totaled two touchdown receptions.

-          Senior Roman Braglio matched his career-highs with 2.0 sacks and 2.5 tackles for loss (both against USF (9/19/15).

-          Senior running back Wes Brown made his 2016 season debut after serving a three-game suspension. Junior safety Josh Woods made his first career start in the wake of Denzel Conyers, who was lost for the season to an ACL tear against UCF.
