
#1 Terps Host Senior Night Friday vs. Hofstra

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The No. 1 Maryland men's soccer team will celebrate its heralded senior class Friday night when it plays host to Hofstra at 7:30 p.m. at Ludwig Field.

• The No. 1 Maryland men's soccer team defeated American, 2-1, Tuesday night at Ludwig Field to stay unbeaten in 2016.
• Sophomores Amar Sejdic and Gordon Wild scored for Maryland (12-0-2, 6-0-1 B1G) which moved its winning streak to nine games with Tuesday's victory. The Terps have not lost since falling to Ohio State in Columbus on Oct. 31, 2015 – a stretch of 19-straight matches.
• Senior Alex Crognale was named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday afternoon after recording two goals in Maryland's win over Wisconsin, which sealed the Big Ten Regular Season title for the Terps. He has four goals this season.
• Crognale along with fellow classmates Cody Albrecht, Suli Dainkeh, Emmanuel Korvah, Cody Niedermeier, and Chris Odoi-Atsem will be honored for Senior Night Friday prior to the match versus Hofstra. This group helped lead Maryland to a 12-0-2 record, its best start since the 2012 season when Maryland advanced to the College Cup.
• Maryland will welcome Delaware on Tuesday to wrap up the home regular season slate. The Terps will travel to Michigan Oct. 30 then host the No. 8/No. 9 game of the 2016 Big Ten Tournament on Saturday, Nov. 5, before playing the winner of that game in quarterfinal action Sunday. The semifinals and championship of the tournament will be played at Grand Park in Westfield, Ind., just outside of Indianapolis Nov. 11 and 13.
