
#1 Terps Play Host to Delaware Tuesday

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The No. 1 Maryland men's soccer team will close its regular season home slate with a matchup with Delaware Tuesday night at 7 p.m. at Ludwig Field.

storylines
• The No. 1 Maryland men's soccer team defeated Hofstra, 2-1, Friday night at Ludwig Field to stay unbeaten in 2016. Senior Alex Crognale celebrated Senior Night in resounding fashion with two goals in the win. The reigning Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week has six goals this season. Senior Cody Niedermeier made five saves to lead the Terps defensively. Maryland is outscoring foes, 36-11, in 2016.
• The Terps continue to dominate the league statistically. Sophomore Gordon Wild leads all players in the Big Ten with 11 goals. Sophomore Amar Sejdic paces the conference in assists with seven. The Terps are tops in both categories as a team.
• Maryland's winning streak now sits at 10 games, its longest stretch since the 2012 campaign when the Terps won 13 straight. The Terps have not lost since falling to Ohio State in Columbus on Oct. 31, 2015 – a stretch of 20-straight matches.
• With a win over Delaware on Tuesday, the Terps will wrap up its first perfect home regular season record since 2005 when they won the national championship.
• The Terps will travel to Michigan Oct. 30 then host the No. 8/No. 9 game of the 2016 Big Ten Tournament on Saturday, Nov. 5, before playing the winner of that game in quarterfinal action Sunday. The semifinals and championship of the tournament will be played at Grand Park in Westfield, Ind., just outside of Indianapolis Nov. 11 and 13.
