
Terps Finish Day One at Wolfpack Intercollegiate

RALEIGH, N.C. - The Maryland men's golf team finished day one and the first 36 holes at the Wolfpack Fall Intercollegiate Monday at the Lonnie Poole Golf Course in Raleigh, N.C. The Terrapins sit in eighth out of 17 teams.
Sophomore Justin Feldman leads the Terrapins so far and is tied for 11th with his score of 140 (71-69), which is two-under par. Fellow sophomore Timothy Colanta went even on the day with a score of 142 (74-68) and is tied for 22nd.
Junior David Kocher went three-over par with his combined score of 145 (70-75) and freshman Peter Knade went four-over with a 146 (71-75).
Junior Joe Brooks shot a 153 (78-75).
The teams will tee-off at 8 a.m. Tuesday morning for the third and final round. Live scoring will be available here.
Maryland is one of 16 teams competing, including Augusta, Campbell, Davidson, East Carolina, George Mason, George Washington, Georgia Southern, Kennesaw State, Rhode Island, Temple, UNC Greensboro, USC Upstate, Winthrop, Wofford and tournament-host NC State.
Known as an excellent and challenging course on the NCAA golf circuit, Lonnie Poole Golf Course hosted the 2014 NCAA Men's Regional and the 2015 NCAA Women's Regional. Located on 250 acres inside the city of Raleigh, the golf course routing is dictated by large elevation changes.
For the purposes of the Wolfpack Fall Intercollegiate, the golf course will play a par of 71 over 7,358 yards.
