
#4 Terrapins Travel to Loyola Monday

COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- The fourth-ranked Maryland women's basketball team (10-0) will travel to Baltimore Monday to play at Loyola (4-5) at 7 p.m. in Reitz Arena. For tickets, click here.

The Terps cruised past Saint Peter's, 101-49, Thursday night in College Park behind Brionna Jones' career-high 30 points off 14-16 shooting from the field in 20 minutes. Shatori Walker-Kimbrough added 16 points and Brianna Fraser scored 13 with 8 boards off the bench. Kiah Gillespie also scored 8 points.
This is the 26th meeting between Maryland and Loyola. The Terrapins own the all-time series, 22-3 and have won the last 16 straight meetings. They have played in each of the last 10 seasons. The Terrapins won last year's meeting 97-47 on Dec. 8 in College Park. Walker-Kimbrough led the way with 21 points, Fraser scored 11 and Kristen Confroy had 10.
The Terps are currently leading the country in scoring (93.8) and field goal percentage (51.9%). They are second in the nation in scoring margin (+39.0), rebounding margin (+18.50) and assists (21.7) and are third in assist/turnover ratio (1.6). They are fourth in the country with 13.8 steals per game - the most steals any team under Brenda Frese has averaged. Brionna Jones is leading the country with her field goal percentage of 70.0 percent.
The Terrapins are ranked No. 4 in the Associated Press poll and in the USA Today Division I Coaches poll.
Walker-Kimbrough is No. 8 on Maryland's all-time scoring list with 1,663 career points. She needs 17 points to pass Christy Winters Scott at No. 7 (1,679 points). Walker-Kimbrough's career three-point percentage of 46.4% is currently the best in Maryland history ahead of Kristi Toliver's career percentage of 40.8%. Jones is No. 8 on Maryland's rebounding list with 919 career boards. She is tied with Jasmina Perazic for No. 19 on Maryland's scoring list with 1,396 career points.
After Monday's matchup, the Terrapins will take a break for final exams at the end of the semester. Their next game will be Wednesday, Dec. 21 at Duquesne at 7 p.m. to take Aliquippa, Pa.-native Walker-Kimbrough home to play in front of friends and family.
