
Three Terps Named LM Preseason All-Americans

BALTIMORE – Three members of the No. 1 Maryland women's lacrosse team were named to the preseason All-American team by Lacrosse Magazine the publication announced Tuesday.
Lacrosse Magazine's Preseason Player of the Year Taylor Cummings headlines the list at midfield. Both her and defender Alice Mercer are preseason All-Americans for the second straight year.
Sophomore Megan Whittle was named a preseason All-American on attack after leading Maryland in goals last season.
The trio was named Inside Lacrosse preseason first team All-Americans in December. Maryland has the most representatives on Lacrosse Magazine's team.
The Terps open the 2016 season this Saturday against William & Mary at noon at the Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex. The game will be streamed live on BTN Plus.
