
Maryland Women's Lacrosse Earns 36th Consecutive NCAA Tournament Berth; Hosts Winner of Princeton/Rutgers On Sunday

COLLEGE PARK, MD – Maryland women's lacrosse earns its 36th straight bid to the NCAA Tournament, as announced on Sunday night. Maryland earned the third seed and will host the first and second rounds at SECU Stadium in College Park.
The Terps (16–3) will host the winner of Princeton (11–6) vs. Rutgers (10–8), who play Friday, May 8, at 2 p.m. The winner will face the Terps in the second round on Sunday, May 10. All games will air on ESPN+.
The Terps' 36 consecutive appearances (1990-2026, minus 2020 due to COVID-19) is the longest streak in the country. Overall, the Terps have won 14 NCAA Championships, the most of any program in college women's lacrosse history. Maryland has won four of the last 11 NCAA Championships (2014, 2015, 2017, 2019) and has made the NCAA Semifinals 12 times under head coach Cathy Reese (2009-19, 2022).
First and second round games begin on Friday and Sunday, May 8 and 10, respectively. The quarterfinals follow on Thursday, May 14. Championship Weekend will take place in Evanston, Illinois at Martin Stadium. The Final Four games take place on May 22, followed by the championship on May 24.
