
Terrapins Celebrate Season with Banquet

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Maryland women's basketball team celebrated its Big Ten championship and 31-win season Wednesday night with its annual banquet at the College Park Marriott Hotel & Conference Center.
Members of the team, staff, families, fans and the Terps' top supporters all celebrated the season in which the Terrapins went 31-4 and won their second straight Big Ten regular season and tournament titles.
Junior Shatori Walker-Kimbrough was honored with the Impact Award. Walker-Kimbrough was the Big Ten champion Terrapins' leading scorer with 19.5 rebounds per game. She was second on the team in rebounding with 6.0 per contest. Walker-Kimbrough led the country and set a Big Ten record, shooting 54.5 percent from outside the arc this season. She was named to the All-Big Ten First Team and an Associated Press and ESPNW All-American.
Senior Malina Howard earned the Ms. Maryland Award for her passion, discipline, academic commitment, honesty, respect, gratitude, commitment to the community and loyalty to the team.
Redshirt senior Brene Moseley was awarded the Playmaker Award. She helped lead the Big Ten's top offense that averaged 83.2 points per contest. She led the Terps in assists with 207, while averaging 11.6 points per game. She was named to the All-Big Ten Second Team and the Big Ten's Sixth Player of the Year.
Junior Brionna Jones earned the Enforcer Award as a high energy player that led the country with her 66.5 field goal percentage on the year. She averaged 15.2 points and 9.8 rebounds per game. She was named to the All-Big Ten First Team and earned an Associated Press Honorable Mention All-America honor.
Senior Tierney Pfirman was awarded the X-Factor Award, as she helped the Terrapins with 9.1 points and 4.9 rebounds per game off the bench.
Sophomore Kristen Confroy earned the Most Improved Award. She started in 24 games, averaging 8.0 points per game in her second season. She shot 40.8 percent from outside the arc on the year.
Senior Chloe Pavlech was awarded the Perseverance and Toughness Award for her commitment to Maryland her growth on and off the court throughout the year.
Ashlyn Barrett, the Terrapins' six-year-old team member from Team IMPACT, was awarded the Tough Terp Award for her dedication to the team throughout the season.
Aja Ellison, Ieshia Small, Kiara Leslie, Walker-Kimbrough, Howard, Jones, Pfirman and Confroy were all honored with Scholar Athlete Awards for their outstanding work in the classroom.
Managers Jessica Carrignan, Samantha Colloi, Amanda Dunbebin and Joe Glowacki earned the Dedication and Service Awards for their commitment and service to the program and their willingness to help in whatever way necessary.
