Facing off
• Sunday's meeting between Maryland and Ohio State marks the Buckeyes' first regular season trip to College Park since 1994. Maryland has hosted Ohio State for a pair of postseason contests during that span (2003 NCAA First Round, 2015 Big Ten Tournament semifinals). The Terps are 5-1 all-time against the Buckeyes dating back to the first meeting in 1990.
• The Terps have the opportunity to clinch at least a share of their second consecutive Big Ten crown in as many years with a win over Ohio State Sunday. The win would mark Maryland's 28th conference title all-time. Last season, Maryland shared the title with Johns Hopkins.
• Maryland has dominatedpossession in the second half of its last three games, largely due to upticks in the faceoff and ground ball battle. Over the last three games, Maryland was 46% at the X in the first half and 70% in the second. Additionally, the Terps have won the second half GB battle, 50-22, as opposed to 44-42 in the first half.
• The Maryland defense was phenomenal against Navy, holding the Midshipmen five goals below their season average in the 10-5 victory. Senior LSM Greg Danseglio led the way with four ground balls and three caused turnovers.
• The Terps have allowed just six goals on 25 EMO chances (24%) - a mark that ranks fifth in the nation. Among the strong showings were games against top-4 teams Yale (0-for-5) and Notre Dame (0-for-3).
• The Terrapins are 8-0 in one-goal games dating back to May 10, 2014 - the best streak in program history. It includes two wins this season and five games in 2015. The next longest such streak was a span of six one-goal wins from 2000 to 2001.
• Maryland's nine-game winning streak is currently the second longest streak in the nation, trailing only Air Force, which has won 11 straight games. It marks the fifth-longest streak in Maryland history, trailing 1987 (12), 2015 (11) and 1976 & 1973 (10).
• Maryland recorded its 10th win of the season against Navy to extend its NCAA-best streak of 10-win seasons to 14 consecutive years dating back to 2003. Notre Dame has the second-most consecutive 10-win seasons (10), while Duke is third (8).
• The Terrapins are 59-4 under John Tillman when scoring at least 10 goals in a game, including a spectacular mark of 40-1 over the last four seasons. That trend has continued this season with a perfect 9-0 mark.
• Junior Matt Rambo scored three goals against Rutgers to reach 92 total goals for his career, passing former teammate Jay Carlson (2012-15) for 16th on the Maryland goals list. Rambo, who has tallied a point in 31 straight games, also ranks t-26th in Maryland history with 128 career points.

Coaching Match-Up
• John Tillman is in his ninth season as a head coach, and sixth with the Terps,
with a 93-44 career record for a .679 winning percentage. Tillman is 73-25 (.746)
as Maryland's head coach.
• Ohio State's Nick Myers is in his eighth season with Ohio State.
Series history vs. Ohio State
• Maryland holds a 5-1 all-time advantage over Ohio State in a series that dates back to 1990.
• Maryland had a memorable win in last season's regular season matchup, defeating Ohio State, 10-9, in overtime at Ohio Stadium. Trailing, 9-5, with 4:22 remaining, the Terps rallied off four straight goals to send the game to overtime, before Jay Carlson scored the sudden death game-winner. The game was played in front of more than 40,000 fans prior to Ohio State's Spring Game.
• The Terps have outscored Ohio State by an average margin of 6.5 goals over six meetings in the series, 12.3 - 5.8.
MAryland Stifles Navy, 10-5
• Maryland defeated No. 7 Navy, 10-5, on April 19 to put a stamp on their NCAA-best 14th consecutive 10-win season and ninth consecutive victory.
• Maryland smothered the Navy attack, limiting the Mids to just 23 shots and 22 ground balls as senior Greg Danseglio caused three turnovers. Offensively junior Colin Heacock matched his career-high with four points (2G, 2A), while Connor Kelly, Tim Rotanz and Henry West each added two goals.
• The patented hard-shell defense stood tall once again holding the Navy offense scoreless for a period of 20:58 in the first half. Senior goalie Kyle Bernlohr made five stops on the night.
Maltz leads terps past Rutgers
• Maryland claimed sole possession of first place in the Big Ten Conference April 16 as it defeated No. 18 Rutgers, 11-8, on a career-high four goals from Dylan Maltz.
• The Terps found themselves trailing, 6-3, with 12:05 remaining in the third quarter before the offense caught fire, exploding for a seven-goal run and securing a lead they would never surrender. The win marked Maryland's eighth consecutive victory.
• The run, paced entirely by the starting attack unit, saw Maltz net three of his four goals on the day, while Colin Heacock (3G) and Matt Rambo (3G, 2A) each scored two of their three tallies, giving the Terps a 10-6 lead with 7:27 remaining in the contest.
COLE'S OT WINNER PUSHES TERPS PAST PSU
• A Bryan Cole goal with 43 seconds remaining in the first overtime pushed the No. 5 Maryland men's lacrosse team to a thrilling 11-10 victory over No. 14 Penn State on April 10.
• It was the second straight game Cole had scored a game-winner for the Terps, who won their seventh consecutive game. Cole became the first Terps to score true game-winners in one-goal games since Matt Hahn achieved the feat in the 1997 NCAA playoffs.
• Maryland (8-2, 2-0 B1G) trailed by four goals, 8-4, with 9:39 remaining in the second quarter, before holding the Nittany Lions to just two goals over the remainder of the game.
Get To 10 And Win
• Since John Tillman took over the program in 2011, Maryland has won 59 of the 63 games in which it has scored 10 or more goals for a .937 winning percentage.
• The Terps have won 42 of their last 43 games when scoring at least 10 goals, only falling to Johns Hopkins during that streak in 2015.

Consecutive 10-Win Seasons
• Maryland's 10-5 win over 7th-ranked Navy on April 19, 2016 extended the Terps' streak of double-digit win seasons to 14, which is the longest active streak in NCAA Division I men's lacrosse.
• There are only four programs with a current streak of at least seven-straight 10-win seasons:

TERPS' 91st SEASON OF LACROSSE
• The Terps boast an all-time record of 775-261-4 (.740), dating back to the first varsity team in 1924 (a team was not fielded in 1944 and 1945 due to World War II). Maryland has finished every one of its previous 90 seasons with a .500 or better record, including last season when the Terps went 15-4. The program reached the 700-win milestone with a 15-6 victory over Penn on April 14, 2009 at Ludwig Field.
• During the decade of the 2000s, Maryland went 111-49 for a .694 win percentage, making it the winningest decade in Terrapin lacrosse history. In the decade of the 1990s, Maryland posted a 95-47 record. The .669 winning percentage matched Maryland's win percentage of the 1980s when the Terps went 83-41 and also compiled a .669 win percentage.
• So far, Maryland is 53-17 in the 2010's for a .757 winning percentage - on pace for the best decade in Maryland history.
