NEWBURGH, Ind. – The Maryland men's golf team is currently second in the standings after two rounds at the Big Ten Men's Golf Championship at the Victoria National Golf Club in Newburgh, Ind.
The Terrapins went three-over par as a team Saturday with a score of 291 in Saturday's second round. They are seven strokes behind Illinois, who is ranked No. 3 nationally. The third and final round will be played Sunday.
Sophomore David Kocher went three-under par with a 69 Saturday to move up to third on the leaderboard. His combined score is 141 (72-69), which is three-under overall.
Freshman Timothy Colanta went one-under with a 71 and is tied for ninth. He owns a combined score of 142 (72-71). Senior Tom Harris went two-over par with a 74 Saturday. He is even on the weekend and is tied for 13th with a score of 144 (70-74).
Sophomore Joe Brooks is two-over par overall to sit tied for 25th with a score of 146 (68-78). Junior Victor Fox is seven-over par with a 151 (74-77).
The Terps will tee-off at 9 a.m. Sunday for the final round. Live scoring will be available here.
Kocher finished tied for third in last year's Big Ten Championship, which was also at Victoria National.
The Victoria National Golf Course is a par 72, 7,124-yard layout. The course is consistently ranked among the top golf courses in America and is home to the PGA Tour Web.com United Leasing Championship.
