Facing off
• Maryland is set to travel to University Park for the first time in 36 years Sunday as it faces No. 14 Penn State. The Terps are 30-0 all-time against the Nittany Lions dating back to the first matchup in Maryland's inaugural 1924 season. Maryland has won by at least four goals in all 30 games, and has only allowed PSU to score 7+ goals twice (1999, 2005).
• The Terps had two players recognized on the Inside Lacrosse Midseason All-America list announced March 31. Short stick midfielder Isaiah Davis-Allen was listed on the first team, while midfielder Bryan Cole was on the second team.
• The Terps have been phenomenal killing EMO opportunities this season, allowing just four goals on 22 chances (18%) - a mark that ranks second in the nation. Among the strong showings were games against top-5 teams Yale (0-for-5) and Notre Dame (0-for-3).
• Maryland won its sixth consecutive game Saturday with a 8-7 victory at Michigan. Maryland has not allowed an opposing team to score more than eight goals during that span. The Terps were ranked second in the first NCAA RPI list on April 4.
• Maryland has won seven of its last eight road conference games dating back to 2013, including four consecutive wins. The lone loss in the span came at North Carolina on March 22, 2014.
• Senior Greg Danseglio totaled eight ground balls and a pair of caused turnovers en route to earning his second Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week honor this season. A Maryland player has been honored with a Big Ten weekly honor nine times this season.
• Philadelphia native Matt Rambo has had immense success in his last six games in the state of Pennsylvania, totaling 21 points on 16 goals and five assists. Among those games was a 6-point (4G, 2A) performance against Johns Hopkins in the NCAA Seminfinals last season at Lincoln Financial Field.
• The Terrapins are 56-4 under John Tillman when scoring at least 10 goals in a game, including a spectacular mark of 37-1 over the last four seasons. That trend has continued this season with a perfect 6-0 mark.
• Maryland has received tremendous support from its first two midfield lines, which have totaled 70 points through nine games (compared to 53 points through nine games in 2015). The red midfield has posted 49 points (Cole/West/Kelly), while the gold midfield (Young, Rotanz, Gradinger) has added 21 points.
• Junior Matt Rambo scored his 89th career goal against Michigan, moving past Pat O'Meally (1972-74) for 17th all-time on the Maryland list. He also ranks t-28th in career points with 121. He has scored a goal in 21 straight games, a streak that ranks fifth nationally among active players.

Maryland has finished every one of its previous 90 seasons with a .500 or better record, including last season when the Terps went 15-4. The program reached the 700-win milestone with a 15-6 victory over Penn on April 14, 2009 at Ludwig Field.
