
#5 Terps Travel to Rutgers Tuesday

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - After a hard-fought draw at No. 4 Indiana in the team's Big Ten opener Friday, the No. 5-ranked Maryland men's soccer team travels to Rutgers for a match on the Big Ten Network Tuesday at 7 p.m.

storylines
• Maryland began league play on Friday night, notching a 1-1 draw in hostile territory at No. 4 Indiana. Alex Crognale scored the equalizer in the 87th minute to give the Terps the road point. Cody Niedermeier made four saves to lead the Maryland defense, which has not surrendered more than one goal to any opponent this season.
• The Terps have tackled a tough schedule thus far, battling three nationally-ranked opponents, including two on the road. The Terps are 1-0-2 in those contests. Maryland is in the middle of a five-game stretch against conference foes.
• Maryland is 8-1-0 against Rutgers all-time including a 3-1 win against the Scarlet Knights a year ago on Nov. 4. Eryk Williamson scored two goals off the bench.
