• Sophomore forward Gordon Wild scored two goals, including the game-winner in overtime, to lift Maryland past Penn State, 3-2, last Sunday night in front of nearly 6,000 fans at Ludwig Field.
• Maryland snagged the top spot in the NSCAA Top 25 poll released Tuesday. It is the first time Terps have been ranked No. 1 since Oct. 30, 2012.
• Michigan State topped Michigan its last time out. The Spartans are 5-1 overall and undefeated in conference play.
• Wild was named Big Ten Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the second time in three weeks. Wild's eight goals through seven games in 2016 are more than any single Terrapin amassed the entire 2015 campaign. A native of Cologne, Germany, Wild leads the Big Ten in goals (8) and points (17) and is third and fourth nationally in each category, respectively.
