#2 Terps Receive Preseason Accolades

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Maryland men's lacrosse team has been unanimously selected as the favorite to win the Big Ten Conference as announced today by the conference and voted upon by Big Ten head coaches.
The Terps are 9-1 in conference play since the inception of Big Ten lacrosse in 2015, winning the regular season title in 2015 and 2016 and also claiming the conference tournament crown in 2016.
Maryland enters the 2017 season ranked second in the country according to both the Inside Lacrosse Maverik Media Preseason Poll and the USILA/Nike Coaches Preseason Poll.
Maryland was also well represented on the Inside Lacrosse Face-Off Yearkbook preseason All-American list, with a nation-high seven players selected. Senior SSDM Isaiah Davis-Allen is on the first team, while the second team includes seniors Matt Rambo and Tim Muller. Colin Heacock, Austin Henningsen, Connor Kelly and Matt Neufeldt all received honorable mention nods.
The Terps are slated to open the season Sat., Feb. 11, against the Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md. Tickets for the 2017 season can be purchased here.
