Terps in the NFL: Week 8

Sean Davis continued his strong start by racking up six tackles, inluding one for loss, in the Steelers Sunday Night Football win over the Lions. He also had a game-high two pass breakups.

As the Steelers begin their bye week, star receiver Antonio Brown is taking his time off in sunny Florida, while breakout rookie JuJu Smith-Schuster is returning home to California to spend some time with friends and family. But not Sean Davis, he will be “in the lab this week,” as he uses the time off to heal, develop and improve.

Vikings phenom Stefon Diggs had a relatively quiet day for his standards, catching for passed for 27 yards. Dealing with an aggravated groin, he was able to gut out 75 percent of snaps overall. However, heading into a bye week, he should be fully healthy for week 10.

After returning to Minnesota from the Vikings blowout win against the Browns in London, Diggs attended his first-ever hockey game. He was the featured guest of the game, and pumped up the crowd by yelling “Let's play hockey!” over the PA system.

Vernon Davis posted two catches for 20 yards in the Redskins' loss to the Cowboys. With Jordan Reed most likely out for week 9, however, Davis will become the starting tight end for at least a week.

Trey Edmunds impressed his teammates this week not only with his on the field play but also with his Halloween costume. He dressed up as a character from the animated series Bravest Warriors.

And finally, Dexter McDougle played a career- high 32 snaps as he helped the Eagles improve to 7-1.
