BY THE NUMBERS
- Senior defenseman Tim Muller scored his first career goal against Yale, kicking off a superb game for the All-American. Muller finished the game with two ground balls and three caused turnovers, in addition to shutting down Yale's game-tying bid with less than 10 seconds remaining in the game.
- Maryland had three players named to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List announced on Feb. 28, featuring seniors Isaiah Davis-Allen, Colin Heacock and Matt Rambo. All three players were USILA All-Americans in 2016.
- The Terrapins scored in a variety of ways against Yale, including four goals from non-traditional faces. Sophomore Austin Henningsen scored two goals off of faceoff wins, while defenseman Tim Muller and long pole Nick Brozowski also found the back of the net. Brozowski has now scored in 3-of-4 games this year.
- Senior attackman Colin Heacock earned his first career Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week honor for his outstanding performance against Yale last weekend. Heacock had five points(3g/2a) to match his career-high, with four of his points coming during a key 5-1 Maryland run.
- Head coach John Tillman has had immense success since taking over the program in 2011, advancing to five NCAA semifinals and four title games. The Terps also lead the nation during that time period in All-America selections (38) and Major League Lacrosse draft selections (26).
- Maryland has won eight consecutive true road contests dating back to early 2016, with three of those victories coming against top-15 opponents. The Terps have also won 12 of their last 13 road games.
- Saturday's matchup marks the 10th meeting in history between Maryland and Notre Dame in a relatively short series that began in 1995. The Terps hold a narrow 5-4 advantage in the series, including a perfect 3-0 record all-time in South Bend.
- The high-flying Terrapin offense has scored at least 10 goals in 15 consecutive games, marking the longest streak for the team since a 16-game streak over the 1986-87 seasons. The Terps have averaged 13.3 goals during the span, including at least 12 goals in 10 straight games.
- Senior Matt Rambo remains one of the hottest players in the country, tallying 56 points over his last 10 games (5.6 pts/g) on 28 goals and 28 assists dating back to 2016. His streak of consecutive games with at least six points was snapped at six games last weekend against Yale.
