Maryland Finishes at Linger Longer Invitational

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland men's golf team wrapped up at the Linger Longer Invitational at the Great Waters at Reynolds Lake Oconee course in Greensboro, Ga. Tuesday afternoon.

Sophomore Timothy Colanta led the way with his score of 213 (68-75-70), which was three-under total. He tied for 19th in the standings.

Freshman Bennett Buch and junior David Kocher both finished three-over with scores of 219. Buch shot a 71 in the first round Sunday, then posted scores of 74 on Monday and Tuesday. Kocher opened with a 75 in the first round, then went even with scores of 72 in the second and third rounds.

Freshman Peter Knade shot a 227 (72-77-78) and sophomore Reilly Erhardt earned a score of 232 (79-77-76).

"Up and down week again for the guys, head coach Jason Rodenhaver said. "Finally had a few under par scores but just not enough production from the bottom of the line up. Hopefully we can get some quality reps in over spring break and get ready to head to ECU."

As a team, the Terrapins posted a score of 876 (286-298-292), which was +12.

Next, Maryland will compete in the East Carolina Intercollegiate April 3-4.
