Morris, Muller Earn Player of the Week Honors

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Maryland men's lacrosse junior Dan Morris has been named Big Ten Specialist of the Week and senior Tim Muller has been named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week after outstanding performances against North Carolina last weekend.
Morris and Muller both played pivotal roles in the Terps' resounding 15-7 victory over UNC, holding the Tar Heels to just three first half goals and 22 percent shooting overall.
Morris came up big throughout the contest, making 12 saves in net. He set the tone early in the game with five first quarter saves to quell the Heels. Muller was just as effective, scooping three ground balls and also scoring a transition goal. Muller's goal was the first of the game and the second of his career.
The Terrapins return to action this weekend as they open Big Ten play against No. 19 Michigan Saturday at 2 pm in Capital One Field at Maryland Stadium. The game will be televised on ESPNU.
