COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The No. 1 Maryland women's lacrosse team (5-0) hosts a top-5 matchup as the Terps face No. 4 Syracuse (7-0, 2-0 ACC) Saturday at 1 p.m.
• The Terps-Orange game will be aired nationally on the Big Ten Network.
• Parking will be free in Lot 9b.
• All campers and clinic attendees will receive free admission if they wear their camp t-shirt or show their reunion flyer at the door. All fans 13 and under will have the opportunity to play catch on the field with their favorite Terps following the game!

• Seniors Zoe Stukenberg (5G, 4A) and Caroline Wannen (5G, 3A) led the Terps to a 21-13 win over Boston College on Wednesday.
• Stukenberg tied a career high with five goals while setting new personal bests with four assists and nine points. Wannen posted a career-high eight points (5G, 3A), all in the second half.
• Five Terps scored at least three goals, including four from sophomore attacker Caroline Steele and hat tricks from freshman midfielder Kali Hartshorn and junior attacker Megan Whittle.
• Maryland hit 21 goals in a game for the first time since March 20, 2012. The Terrapins tallied 13 second-half goals.

• The Orange earned wins over Northwestern (5-3) and Virginia (16-15) last weekend.
• Riley Donahue leads Syracuse with 24 points while six players have 10+ points. Nicole Levy and Emily Hawryschuk have the team lead with 13 goals each. Morgan Widner paces the Orange with 63 draw controls.
• Asa Goldstock has seen the most time in cage and hodls a 7.89 goals against average and a .505 save percentage.

• The Terps are 20-1 all-time vs. the Orange and have won the last eight meetings.
• Last season, the teams met twice. In the regular season at Syracuse, Maryland won 14-9, led by a four-goal performance from Taylor Hensh. In the national semifinals, the Terps won 19-9 as Hensh, Taylor Cummings and Megan Whittle each scored four goals.
• Syracuse head coach Gary Gait is a former Maryland assistant.

terps trio named to tewaaraton watch list
• Senior midfielder Zoe Stukenberg, senior defender Nadine Hadnagy and junior attacker Megan Whittle were named to the Tewaaraton Watch List on Tuesday.
• Stukenberg, Hadnagy and Whittle were named Tewaaraton nominees last season. All three were named preseason first team All-Americans.
• Maryland has won six of the last seven Tewaaraton Awards.
terps selected as big ten favorites
• Maryland was unanimously selected to win the Big Ten Championship in the coaches' preseason poll.
• The Terps have won the last two Big Ten regular season titles and are undefeated in conference play during the regular season since joining the conference in 2014. Maryland also won the 2016 Big Ten Tournament title.
• Following Maryland is Penn State (2), Northwestern (3), Johns Hopkins (4), Ohio State (5), Rutgers (6) and Michigan (7). Hopkins joins the Big Ten for women's lacrosse this season.

• Six returning members of the Maryland women's lacrosse team were selected as Inside Lacrosse Preseason All-Americans.
• Senior defender Nadine Hadnagy, senior midfielder Zoe Stukenberg and junior attacker Megan Whittle were named to the first team.
• Sophomore defender Julia Braig earned second team honors while senior attacker Caroline Wannen and sophomore goalie Megan Taylor were named honorable mention.
• Hadnagy, Stukenberg and Whittle are Maryland's returning 2016 IWLCA All-Americans while Taylor was an all-region selection as just a freshman.
maryland welcomes top-ranked freshman class
• The Terrapins will feature Inside Lacrosse's No. 1 freshman class in the nation next spring. This is the first time since 2011 Maryland has had the top-ranked freshman class.
• The 2016 class includes Lizzie Colson, Brindi Griffin, Kali Hartshorn, Victoria L'Insalata, Andrea McTaggart, Natalie Miller, Julia Salandra, Nikki Sliwak and Hannah Warther.
• The Terps feature seven Under Armour All-Americans, all of whom were ranked by Inside Lacrosse: No. 2 Colson, No. 4 Griffin, No. 5 Warther, No. 19 Sliwak, No. 23 L'Insalata, No. 29 Hartshorn and No. 48 Miller.
hadnagy, stukenberg named team captains
• The Terps selected seniors Nadine Hadnagy and Zoe Stukenberg as team captains for the upcoming season.
• The 2017 roster voted on Hadnagy and Stukenberg to be captains for the second straight season.
• Both Hadnagy and Stukenberg return as three-year starters and were named Inside Lacrosse Preseason First Team All-Americans.
six terps named to u.s. world cup roster
• Six former members of the Maryland women's lacrosse team were named to the 18-player U.S. Women's National Team that will compete in the 2017 Federation of International Lacrosse Women's World Cup.
• Attackers Alex Aust '13 and Brooke Griffin '15, midfielders Taylor Cummings '16 and Katie Schwarzmann '13 and defenders Megan Douty '15 and Alice Mercer '16 were selected to the U.S. squad.
• The Terps have the most representatives on the 2017 U.S. team of any collegiate program. The FIL World Cup, which takes place every four years, will be in Guildford, England, from July 12-22. The United States are seven-time world champions.
