COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- The top-seeded Maryland men's lacrosse team (14-3) is set to face the 5-seed Denver Saturday, May 27, at 2:30 pm, in the NCAA semifinals at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass. The game will be broadcast on ESPN2, in addition to a sky camera angle on ESPN3, and it can be heard on Westwood One/SiriusXM 84.

BY THE NUMBERS

1 - Tewaaraton finalist Matt Rambo needs just one goal to break Joe Walters' program goal scoring record (153). Rambo is also 11 points away from breaking the program's single-season points record (93), set in 1963 by Ray Altman. Rambo became the Terps' all-time leader in points against Johns Hopkins on April 29.

2 - Two-time All-American Isaiah Davis-Allen has been named the 2017 Senior CLASS Award recipient for men's lacrosse, becomng just the second student-athlete in school history in win the award (Juan Dixon, 2002). The award encompasses the best in class, character, competition and community.

4 - The Terrapin senior class is taking part in its fourth consecutive final four, becoming the first class in the program to achieve the feat since 1979. The group has won a program-record 59 games, in addition to winning four conference regular season titles and two conference tournament titles.

9 - Maryland had nine players named USILA All-America - the most for the program since 1998 - including four first teamers: Isaiah Davis-Allen, Connor Kelly, Tim Muller and Matt Rambo. John Tillman has produced 47 All-Americans since taking over the program in 2011.

16 - Head coach John Tillman is 16-6 overall in the NCAA Tournament. His 16 wins since 2011 are the most among all Division I coaches during that span. Tillman is looking to lead Maryland to its fifth title game since taking over the program.

16 - Senior Matt Rambo has totaled 16 points in the first two NCAA games, with a career-high eight points in both games. It is the first time in Maryland history a player has had back-to back games of at least eight points, let alone in the NCAA Tournament.

35 - Maryland has made a habit of jumping out to strong starts, outscoring opponents by 35 goals in the first quarter (70 to 35). The Terps are 67-9 under John Tillman when leading after the first quarter.

36 - Maryland leads the nation shooting at a 36 percent clip, a number that was bolstered after a 43 percent shooting day against Albany in the quarterfinals. The Terps' goals leader, Connor Kelly, is shooting at a 42 percent clip on the season.

53 - Junior midfielder Connor Kelly has totaled a career-high 53 points on the season, and currently leads Maryland with 42 goals. With five goals against Albany, Kelly became the first Maryland midfielder since the legendary Frank Urso (1974) to score 40 goals in a season.

58 - Senior Matt Rambo has proven to be one of the greatest NCAA competitors of all-time. His 58 NCAA points is tied with Mikey Powell and Steele Stanwick for most career points nationally since 2000 (see bottom of page 3 for list). He has a lifetime average of 4.5 points/g in the NCAA Tournament, including an average of 6.8 points over his last five games.
