Around the NFL: Week 2
Pittsburgh Steelers safety Sean Davis had a monster game in the 26-9win over former teammate Stefon Diggs' Minneosta Vikings, totaling eight tackles. It was the second-most tackles for Davis in a regular season game in his career.
Diggs, meanwhile, had a rather quiet outing in comparison to his two-touchdown debut in week one, but he continues to be one of the top deep-threat receivers in the NFL.
According to Pro Football Focus, Diggs has the most receiving yards (89) on passes 20 yards or more down the field. He ranks ahead of both J.J. Nelson and Brandin Cooks.

Eagles wide receiver Torrey Smith had his best game so far in a Philadelphia uniform, totaling four catches for 66 yards (16.5 yards/c). It was his most receiving yards in a game since Oct. 16, 2016 against the Buffalo Bills. Dexter McDougle also made his debut for the Eagles last Sunday, making one tackle.
Rookie running back Trey Edmunds, meanwhile, is making the most of his special teams opportunities in a crowded New Orleans Saints backfield. Edmunds returned two kickoffs against the Patriots for 43 yards – an average of 21.5 yards per returns.
Check out this great story on Trey Edmunds, featuring his father and former Maryland star tight end, Ferrell Edmunds, who was not surprised Trey made the Saints roster.
