Lucki Leads Pack at Paul Short

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Senior Alexandra Lucki was Maryland's top performer at the Paul Short Invitational Friday, finishing 42nd in the field at the 44th running of the event hosted by Lehigh. The Toronto, Ontario native crossed the line in 20:45 in her first action of the 2017 cross country season, while helping Maryland to a 20th place finish in the team standings.

Junior Emily Bracher carried momentum from her meet victory at the Salty Dog Invitational on September 9, as she finished as the No. 2 Terp (80th) in 21:05. Sophomore Brittany Lang (107th) and freshman Christine Laurie (169th) finished third and fourth in the Terrapin lineup, as the duo clocked in at 21:18 and 21:52 (respectively).

Sophomore Paige Novak was the final scoring placer for Maryland, finishing 213th with a time of 22:20. Freshman Molly Barrick (22:24) and junior Gaby Go (22:32) rounded out the lineup for the Terps at the event.

Utah State swept the team and individual titles, totaling 72 points led by five top-25 placers including junior Alyssa Snyder, who won the meet with a time 19:48.

The Terps will return to competition Saturday, October 14 at the Princeton Invitational in Princeton, N.J.
