Terps Host Kickoff Events This Week

COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- The Maryland wrestling program will officially begin its 2018-19 campaign this week, hosting its annual Season Kickoff Weekend with events slated for Oct. 5-6.

The Terrapins will host their first open practice of the season on Friday, Oct. 5, where fans can get their first look at the 2018-19 squad. Practice will be held in the wrestling room at the XFINITY Center, and will be open from 4-5 p.m.

Fans can also check out the team on Saturday morning, with an open practice slated for 10 a.m. in the wrestling room at the XFINITY Center.

The weekend culminates with the Season Kickoff Banquet, which will be held on Saturday, Oct. 6, at 2 p.m. The banquet, which takes place at Heritage Hall in the XFINITY Center, will recognize the 2008 and 2009 ACC Championship teams.
