Terps Finish Fifth at Princeton Invitational

PRINCETON, NJ - The cross-country squad was back in action at the Princeton Invitational Friday evening out at West Windsor Field.
For the second weekend in a row, senior Emily Bracher led the way through the 6km course for the Terrapin squad. Bracher crossed the line in 19th place overall running 21:49.1.
Kathryn Gearhart stayed steady as the second scorer for the team placing 29th individually. Gearhart crossed the line in 22:17.4 for a strong finish. Christine Laurie and Brittany Lang worked together to navigate the race and came through as the 3rd and 4th Terrapin finishers respectively. Laurie placed 35th and Lang crossed the line as the 41st individual.
Paige Novak rounded out the scoring as the fifth finisher for the squad. Also representing the Terps out on the course were Anna Latzko and Molly Barrick. Jasmine Tiamfook, Courtney Mann, and Alexa Woltjen all toed the line for Maryland.
The team performance led to a 5th place finish out of 22nd competing squads. This is the final tune up for the Terps before they head out to the Big Ten Championships in Nebraska on October 28th.
