
Bracher Selected to Compete in NCAA Championships

INDIANAPOLIS - Senior Emily Bracher was selected to compete in the NCAA Cross Country Championships as an individual, as announced by the NCAA today.
Bracher will compete in the Mid-Atlantic region alongside Grace Mancini from La Salle, Madeline Villalba from Penn, and Sam Shields from Pitt.
This is Bracher's first NCAA Championship bid. She earned NCAA All-Region honors after finishing 14th individually at NCAA regionals on Friday. As a team, Maryland placed 10th out of 30 teams overall at NCAA Regionals.
Bracher's NCAA Championship bid comes after a regular season in which she finished as the Terps' No. 1 runner in every event she competed in.
University of Wisconsin-Madison will host the championships, Saturday, Nov. 17, at the Thomas Zimmer Championship Cross Country Course located in Madison, Wisconsin. The women's race will begin at 11:45 a.m. Eastern Time, followed by the men's race at 12:45 p.m. Eastern Time.
Coverage of the championships will be available starting at 11:30 a.m. Eastern Time until the conclusion of the awards ceremony, Saturday, November 17, and can be accessed at www.FloTrack.com.
