COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- Maryland wrestling head coach Kerry McCoy announced Wednesday that Alfred Bannister, Youssif Hemida and Jahi Jones will serve as team captains for the 2018-19 season. The trio was voted team captains by their teammates and coaching staff.
"I'm very proud to have these young men represent our program," McCoy said. "They have committed to becoming true leaders and will do a great job for our team this year both on and off the wrestling mat."
This is the fourth-consecutive season Bannister has been named team captain.
