Bracher Finishes at NCAA Championships

MADISON, Wisc. – Senior Emily Bracher completed her memorable cross country career as a Terp Saturday as she raced in the NCAA Championship Meet at the Thomas Zimmer Championship Cross Country Course in Madison, Wisc. The Freehold, N.J. native finished 227th in the field of 255, crossing the line in 22:18.5 in her first ever NCAA Championship.

Bracher became the second Maryland runner since the 2011 season to advance to the NCAA Championship meet and just the third Terp to make the meet since 1988.

She finished as Maryland's No. 1 runner in every meet she competed this season.

Colorado captured the team title with a team score of 65, followed by New Mexico (103) and Oregon (160). Colorado's Dani Jones won the individual title with a time of 19:42.8.

Bracher earned All-Region honors for the first time in her career with her performance while posting the third-best finish of a Maryland runner at the event on record.
