COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Three Terps secured decision victories Sunday afternoon as Maryland fell 26-9 to Central Michigan (1-2) at the XFINITY Center Pavilion. Freshman Orion Anderson (133), and redshirt junior Jahi Jones (157) and redshirt freshman Philip Spadafora 9165) all picked up their first dual wins of the season on the day.

Anderson drew the match even after Maryland dropped the 125 bout, winning a 10-8 decision over CMU's Drew Hildenbrandt. The Schuylerville hit the eventual-winning move in the first period, catching Hildenbrandt's leg for a cradle and four-point near fall. The Chippewa 133-pounder would make it a match, battling back with a  few takedowns, but Anderson held him off to lock up his first dual win as a Terp.

In the afternoon's most exciting match, Jahi Jones battled back from a 4-2 first period deficit to defeat Logan Parks 8-6 in the 157-pound class. The Fort Washington, Md. native would pick up an escape and penalty point in the second period to tie, then scrambled for a takedown of his own to make it 6-4.

A pair of escapes from Parks would force sudden victory, where Jones came up big rolling through a shot to put Parks on his back for the win. Spadafora would make it two in a row for the Terps, using some early offense to fend off Bret Fedewa at 165.
Three bonus point wins paced the Chippewas to the dual match win, who won the final four matches of the day to secure the victory.

Maryland (0-3) enters an extended hiatus from dual matches before beginning Big Ten competition on January 11 at Purdue. Maryland will enter wrestlers into the Cleveland State Open December 15.
