ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The Maryland men's lacrosse team is set to face rival Johns Hopkins in the Big Ten Tournament Saturday night at 7pm on Big Ten Network, marking the first time the teams have met in conference tournament action. The Terps are looking to capture their third consecutive Big Ten Tournament crown.

BY THE NUMBERS

2 - The Terrapin specialist units are both among the best in the country, with the man-up unit ranking second and the man-down 10th. The Terrapin man-up unit is scoring at a 61-percent (23-of-38) clip, as Jared Bernhardt leads the Big Ten with seven man-up goals. Meanwhile, the man-down unit has allowed just five goals on 27 attempts (.185) over its last nine games.

3 - Maryland and Hopkins played the first triple overtime game in 116 meetings between the teams last week, with Will Snider scoring the game-tying goal and the eventual game-winner. This is just the second time in history (1977) that the Terps and Blue Jays have met seven days apart, with Hopkins winning both those meetings (the second being in the NCAA semis).

4 - Maryland has won four games against Johns Hopkins for the first time since 1961-64, and is looking to win five straight against its rivals for the first time in the series' storied history. Head coach John Tillman is 6-4 (.600) against Hopkins during his tenure at Maryland, marking the best winning percentage for a Terrapin coach in the series all-time.

5 - The Terps had five players named to the All-Big Ten teams announced Tuesday. Connor Kelly, who was named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year, and Jared Bernhardt were on the first team, while Bryce Young, Dan Morris and Curtis Corley were on the second team. Head coach John Tillman was named Coach of the Year for the second straight season.

19 - Connor Kelly returns to the Big Ten Tournament as its reigning Most Valuable Player, having scored nine goals in two games in 2017. Kelly has scored 19 goals over his last five Big Ten Tournament games. He has twice been named to the Big Ten All-Tournament Team (2017, 2016).

30 - Connor Kelly has 38 goals and 31 assists on the season, and is just the fourth player in Maryland's illustrious history to be a member of the 30/30 club. Matt Rambo achieved the feat both in 2016 and 2017, while Bob Boneillo reached the mark in 1979 and Ed Mullen in 1976.

31 - Redshirt freshman Logan Wisnauskas has totaled 31 goals on the season, which is the most for a Maryland freshman since Joe Walters had 33 in 2003. He is quickly closing in on the program's freshmen record (36) set by Matt Hahn in 1995. Wisnauskas' 41 points are the most for a Terp freshman since Grant Catalino had 42 in 2008.

96 - The Terps have failed just two clears (51-of-53, .962) over their last three games since converting just 8-of-13 clear attempts against Rutgers on April 15. The Terps were a perfect 14-of-14 against Hopkins April 28, while going 17-of-18 against Rutgers Thursdsay night.
