Langhorne Wins WNBA Title

COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- Maryland women's basketball all-time great Crystal Langhorne won a WNBA championship Wednesday night with the Seattle Storm. Langhorne is the second Terrapin to win a WNBA title, after Kristi Toliver did with the Los Angeles Sparks in 2016.
Four former Terrapins were in the WNBA Finals - Langhorne and three Washington Mystics, Toliver, Tianna Hawkins and Shatori Walker-Kimbrough. Maryland had more alums than any other school in the WNBA Finals.
Maryland head coach Brenda Frese, current Terps and staff members were able to watch Langhorne and the Storm win the title at the Eagle Bank Arena in Fairfax, Va. Langhorne's teammates Shay Doron, Marissa Coleman and Kim Rodgers also came to support their fellow Terp alums.
"Crystal has won at every level - high school, AAU, college and the WNBA," Frese said. "She is a winner because she does things the right way and is a relentless worker. We couldn't be happier for her, her teammates and her family to see their dreams come true."
