
Maryland to Host Lincoln in Final Exhibition

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Maryland women's basketball team will host Lincoln University (Pa.) in the Terrapins' second and final exhibition matchup Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the XFINITY Center.
Admission to Tuesday's preseason game is free. Parking will open in lots 9B, 4B, 11B and the Terrapin Trail Garage at 4 p.m. Fans should adhere to all posted parking signs in the lots around the XFINITY Center.

Maryland won handedly over California University of Pennsylvania (Cal U), 109-67, with a big second half Friday night in the Terps' first exhibition.
The Terps shot 73.8 percent from the floor, going 45-61 from the field and 7-10 from the 3-point line. They held the Vulcans to just 39 percent on 25-64 shooting.
Everyone contributed for the Terps, with sophomore Taylor Mikesell leading the way with 17 points, going 3-for-4 from beyond the arc. Senior Stephanie Jones chimed in with 15 points, going 5-7 from the charity stripe, while sophomore Shakira Austin had a perfect night going 7-for-7 from the field, scoring 14.
The freshmen class tallied a total of 29 points. Ashley Owusu led the class with 13 points and three assists. Faith Masonius scored nine, shooting 50 percent from the field, while Diamond Miller scored seven, but lead the Terps with eight rebounds.
Lincoln went 17-14 last season. The Lions were picked to finish fifth overall in the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association and third in the CIAA North Division. Kwanza Murray and Alisia Machado were named to the Preseason All-Conference Team.
The Terrapins were picked by both the Big Ten head coaches and the league's media panel to win the conference title this season.
The Terrapins are No. 5 in the preseason ESPNW and NCAA polls. The preseason Associated Press poll will be released Wednesday.
Last season, the Terrapins earned a record of 29-5 last season and won the Big Ten regular season title. They advanced to the Big Ten Tournament championship game for the fifth straight year and then went to the NCAA Second Round.
The Terps welcome back all five starters, including Kaila Charles, Taylor Mikesell, Blair Watson, Shakira Austin and Stephanie Jones.
This year, Maryland welcomes the No. 3 freshman class in the country, featuring Faith Masonius, Diamond Miller, Ashley Owusu and Zoe Young, as well as transfer Mimi Collins.
The Terrapins' non-conference schedule is highlighted by contests with South Carolina, Clemson and North Carolina State. The Terrapins will also take on RPI top-50 team Quinnipiac and 2019 NCAA Tournament participant Belmont.
