Head coach Brett Nelligan and the Maryland gymnastics program have announced the date of the 2019 Winter Workout Clinic. The annual clinic is scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 31, at the Maryland Gymnastics Training Facility located in the School of Public Health.
The Winter Workout is open to gymnasts ages 7-18 from beginners to Level 10 and Elites. In the one-day clinic, gymnasts will train in rotations of vault, bars, beam, floor, trampoline, strength, dance and flexibility with the Maryland coaching staff and current members of the gymnastics team. The camp is scheduled to run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with check-in beginning at 9 a.m.
The Winter Workout is $175 per camper and includes a Maryland gymnastics T-shirt. For gymnasts who want to stay overnight in College Park, a room rate of $95 plus tax is available at the Holiday Inn-College Park. The cut-off date for the room rate is Monday, December 2.Â
Due to the popularity of the clinic, campers are advised to register early. Clinics in the last five years have sold out within a few weeks.
