COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The fourth-ranked Maryland women's basketball team will host Wagner at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Terrapins' season opener and annual Field Trip Day game at the XFINITY Center. The Terps will welcome over 3,500 local elementary and middle school students from 28 schools for the game.

For Tuesday's game, limited parking will be available for fans in lot XVL. Spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Once the lot is full, fans will be directed to park in the Regents Drive Garage. Fans with a handicap placard may park in the handicapped spaces surrounding the XFINITY Center. All fans are reminded to adhere to posted parking signage in the lots around the XFINITY Center. Click here for a campus parking map.

The Terrapins offered free admission to all preregistered elementary schools and classes. These classes received free lesson plans aligned with Common Core standards, focusing on numeracy and literacy, while familiarizing students with the game of basketball.

The Maryland-Wagner game will be streamed around the world on

Maryland is 3-0 all-time vs. Wagner. Most recently, the Terrapins beat the Seahawks, 97-24, on Nov. 16, 2014.

Kaila Charles was named to the AP Preseason All-America Team Thursday. Charles is the first Terrapin to be named to the Preseason All-America Team since Alyssa Thomas was on the Team in 2013. At the end of last season, Charles earned AP All-America Honorable Mention honors.

 The Terrapins will start the 2019-20 season ranked No. 4 in the Associated Press preseason poll and No. 5 in the ESPN Coaches preseason poll. The Terrapins are in the preseason top five for the fifth time under head coach
Brenda Frese.
