WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- The University of Maryland volleyball team lost to #16 Purdue Saturday night in three sets, 17-25, 15-25, 19-25.
Purdue led the Terps in kills (42), aces (7), assists (41), and digs (44), while Maryland had the edge in blocks (7).
Junior outside hitter
Erika Pritchard led the team with 13 kills, while
Rainelle Jones and
Jada Gardner both added seven each.
Jones led the Terps with four blocks while
Katie Myers contributed three and
Nicole Alford had two. Alford also led the team with 29 assists, her second-highest total of the season.
Allegra Rivas paced the team with 12 digs.
Next, Maryland returns home to face a ranked opponent in Illinois on Friday and will have a day off before coming back to the XFINITY Center Pavilion to match up against Northwestern.
