Siebert announced as U.S. Olympic coaching staff member

COLLEGE PARK, Md. — Maryland track and field and cross country associate head coach Danielle Siebert was selected as a member of the Tokyo 2020 coaching staff, as announced by USA Track & Field (USATF). Siebert will serve as an event manager for Team USA during the upcoming Olympic Games.  

Siebert is currently in her 12th year as a coach for the Terps, focusing primarily on the middle distance events. During her tenure she has guided Terrapin student-athletes to all-conference, NCAA championships and school record performances.

As an active member of USATF, Siebert has served on six International teams, including two world championships, in a manager role. She was an event manager at the 2017 World Championships in London and the 2015 World Championships in Beijing. Siebert was the head manager for the 2017 Pan Am U20 squad in Trujillo, Peru. She recently served as an event manager at the 2019 NACAC championships in Queretaro, Mexico. In 2014, she served as a manager for the World U20 Championships in Eugene, OR., and in 2012 she assisted in this same role at the NACAC U23 championships in Irapuato, Mexico. 

Siebert completed her undergraduate degree as a student-athlete at Maryland from 2002-2006.  She went on to earn her Master's in Business Administration as well as a Master's degree in Management.
