
Colanta Leads Field at Puerto Rico Classic

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Senior Timothy Colanta is currently tied for first atop the leaderboard after the first two rounds in the Puerto Rico Classic at the Rio Mar Beach and Spa Resort's River Course.
Colanta went one stroke under par in the first round Sunday and four strokes under with a 68 Tuesday. He is tied for the top spot with Georgia Tech's Noah Norton, NC State's Benjamin Shipp and Cole Bradley of Purdue.
Colanta led the charge as the Terrapins took six strokes off their day one score Tuesday to move to 10th from 14th place in the team standings. As a team, the Terrapins are +12 overall at 588 (297-291).
Junior Peter Knade is five strokes over par with a score of 149 (75-74). Freshman Dillon Brown is seven strokes over with a score of 151 (77-74). Redshirt junior Evan Santa is eight strokes over with his score of 152 (77-75). Junior Christian Park owns a score of 157 (74-83).
The teams will tee off in the final round Tuesday at 7:30 a.m. Live scoring will be available here.
