COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- A day after being named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week, senior
Megan Taylor was named the IWLCA National Defensive Player of the Week on Wednesday.
Taylor was sensational in Maryland's win over No. 4 Syracuse on Saturday, posting 12 saves to only 11 allowed goals, leading the Terps to the overtime victory. The senior made four game-saving stops with the game tied over the final 15 minutes and had seven point blank saves in the second half of the close game.
