COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- Each week during the 2019-20 season a Maryland student-athlete, who has shown excellence on and off the playing field, will be selected as the Solomon Eye Associates Terp of the Week. This week's Solomon Eye Associates Terp of the Week is Josh Jackson from football.
In his first game as a Terp, quarterback Josh Jackson threw for 245 yards and four touchdowns in Maryland's 79-0 win over Howard.
Jackson tied Mark Manges (vs. Villanova, 1975) for the most touchdowns ever thrown in a Maryland debut. All four of Jackson's TD strikes came in the first half, making him the first Maryland quarterback to throw for four touchdowns in the first half since at least 1977.
Jackson and the Terps are back in action this Saturday when they host No. 21 Syracuse. To purchase tickets, click here.
