Stefon Diggs Named Pro Bowl Starter

COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- Buffalo Bills wide receiver and former Maryland football player Stefon Diggs was named a Pro Bowl starter, the NFL announced Monday evening.

In his first season with the Bills, Diggs has electrified the league, having one of the best seasons of any NFL wide receiver and his personal best season. Diggs has recorded his third-straight 1,000-yard season, reaching career-highs in receptions, 111, and receiving yards, 1,314. Diggs broke the Bills single-season reception record and after his 11-reception performance against the Broncos this past weekend, he became just the eighth player in NFL history with three consecutive games with at least 10 catches.

This is Diggs first career Pro Bowl nod, who becomes the first Maryland starter in the Pro Bowl since long snapper Jon Condo started for the AFC in 2012 and the first offensive starter since tight end Vernon Davis started for the NFC in 2010.

In three seasons in College Park from 2012-14, Diggs amassed 150 receptions for 2,227 yards and 14 touchdowns while earning all-conference honors in both the Big Ten and ACC. Diggs' 150 career receptions rank fourth in school history and his 2,227 receiving yards rank second. Diggs also finished ranked third in school history with 4,106 career all-purpose yards.

There will be no actual Pro Bowl game this season but you can watch Diggs and the AFC East Champion Bills through the final two games of the regular season and as they embark on their playoff run in January.
