COLLEGE PARK, Md.-- The Maryland women's tennis team fell to William & Mary 4-2 on Sunday. 

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

• Maryland took the doubles point against the Tribe to start the day off strong.
• All three doubes teams were up in their respective matches when the Terps took the point.
• Alexandrova moves to 8-0 in singles play for the season.

NUMBERS TO KNOW

• DOUBLES
  • No. 1: Freshman Ayana Akli and senior Kate Yemelyanenka defeated Victoria Okuyama and Mila Saric 6-2.
  • No. 3: Junior Chloe Hamlin and senior Saya Usui defeated Elisa Van Meeteren and Raffaela Alhach 6-4
  • Alexandrova and junior Zoe Kulkarni were up 5-4 at the time the Terps took the point. 
• SINGLES
  • Alexandrova (8-0) defeated Rosie Cheng 6-1, 6-2 in straight sets at the No. 2 spot.
  • The Terps gave valiant efforts but fell to William & Mary in the remaining singles spots
