As a Sophomore:
Went 14-3 overall at the No.1 spot in the regular season all against conference opponents to lead the team...ranked as high as No. 29 in the nation by ITA.. defeated four ranked opponents including two higher ranked competitors...went 9-2 with doubles partner Eva Alexandrova...ranked as high as No. 76 as a pair...qualified and competed in NCAA Singles Championship for Maryland for the first time since 2011...took down undefeated Fiona Crawley (30-0) to advance to the second round...finished 46th in the country...

As a Freshman:
Went 21-3 overall (including fall play) at the No. 1 spot for the Terps...was undefeated against conference opponents...ranked as high as No. 71 by ITA...received first Big Ten Freshman of the year recognition in program history...went 8-1 with fellow doubles partner Kate Yemelyanenka to lead the team...

Before Maryland:  Graduated form Wheaton High School in Silver Spring, MD in 2019...four-year member of the varsity tennis team...finished 12-0 each year of high school...three year state champion, four year MVP, county and divisional champion three years in a row.
 
Personal: Daughter of Komi and Linda Akli...father is a tennis coach, mother played basketball at RPI...graduated in the top five percent of her class...hobbies include cooking, painting, playing the flute and saxophone...pregame ritual is to eat the same things everyday while wearing the same outfits and hairstyle...sports hero is Muhammad Ali...major is Civil Engineering with a minor in Business.
