Brenda Frese's Take
"A lot of positives to see. You can continue to see our unselfishness and how we share the basketball and how we can really score the basketball. Some areas for us to work on with the first game defensively, in our rebounding and a lot of things for us to continue to improve on. But I thought it was great to just get everyone in there, right? To get the jitters out, to be in front of fans. We can't say enough how grateful we are to finally play a game in front of fans. It's been over 600+ days. We were excited to be able to get out tonight and play for our fans."

  • A pair of Terps made their first appearances in Maryland uniforms as freshmen Shyanne Sellers (Aurora, OH) and Emma Chardon (Geneva, Switzerland) made their debuts. Sellers scored 15 points, grabbed four rebounds and handed out five assists. Chardon tallied eight points and grabbed five rebounds .
  • Sellers scored on a driving layup early in the fourth quarter for her first basket after knocking down 4-of-4 from the free-throw line.
  • Chardon scored her first points on a layup with 7:39 left in the fourth quarter. Chardon finished with eight points.
