COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland volleyball team returns home to College Park this weekend to welcome Northwestern and Indiana to the XFINITY Pavilion.

Maryland is coming off a stretch that saw it face four consecutive top-fifteen foes to start conference play. The Terps are buoyed by their defense as they lead the Big Ten with 16.27 digs per set and a .141 opponent hitting percentage, plus they're are barely in second with 3.15 blocks per set.

WEEKEND STORYLINES
NATIONAL RECOGNITION
- The Terps have made themselves known on the national stage, particularl with their victory over then-No.2 Wisconsin on September 24.
- This past week the Terps received votes in the AVCA Coaches Poll for the second consecutive week.
- In the first RPI of the season the Terps came in 46th.
LEADING THINGS OFF
- Several Terps are leading the Big Ten conference, or nation, in statistical categories.
- Rainelle Jones leads NCAA, and conference, with 1.8 blocks per set. She's up to 450 and closing in on a 500 kill - 500 block career.
- Milan Gomillion is leading the Big Ten with 4.75 digs per set. She's already got 4.75 digs in her rookie season.
- Sydney Dowler ranks fourth in the Big Ten with 10.4 assists per set.
home court advantage
- The Terps have had an incredible home court advantage this season buoyed by back-to-back top-ten attendances in program history.
- 1,828 came out to the Wisconsin match before 1,513 watched the Terps against Penn State.
- The Terps are 7-1 this season at home with 23 sets won to only six sets lost.
- SCOUTING THE FOES
- Continuing Big Ten play the Terps are set to face a pair of familiar opponents in Northwestern and Indiana.
- Maryland is 7-5 against Northwestern throughout history with the last meetings came in April 2021 when the teams split a pair five-setters.
- The Terps are 9-4 against the Hoosiers and won the last meeting on March 6, 2021.
