COLLEGE PARK, MD – A dominant two-way performance by
Rainelle Jones propelled Maryland past Indiana. The Terps are now 14-4 on the year and 2-4 in the Big Ten. The Hoosiers moved to 8-10 overall and 2-4 in the conference.
The Terps started the first set on fire by reeling off seven straight points to open a commanding lead. Jones dominated with a four-kill, seven-block set, giving Maryland the 25-14 win. Jones once again proved to be too much for the Hoosiers, compiling five more kills and two more blocks in a 25-17 set win, giving Maryland a commanding 2-0 lead in the match. The third set was tighter but Maryland's size and power allowed it to finish off the sweep with a 26-24 set win.
