HARRISONBURG, VA -- Another well-balanced performance lifted No. 4 Maryland to an 81-43 victory over James Madison on Sunday afternoon. The Terps (3-0) forced 21 turnovers and scored 25 points off of them to cruise the victory. 

Fresh off scoring her 1,000th career point on Friday night, Chloe Bibby followed it up with a team-high 19 points on 55 percent shooting from the floor. Ashley Owusu scored 14 points before exiting the game in the third quarter with an injury. 

Bibby and Owusu's 16 combined points in the first quarter outscored the entire Dukes team (10).

Angel Reese tied her career-high with 14 rebounds to go along with 12 points for her second double-double of the season and third of her career. 

Along with Bibby, Owusu, and Reese, Shyanne Sellers (11 points) scored in double figures for the third straight game to start her career.  

Maryland's defense limited the Wildcats to 33% shooting and just 6% shooting from three-point range. The Terps won the rebounding battle 47-32. 

Kiki Jefferson led the Dukes with 16 points.

"Gosh, what a special road win. I thought it was probably our most complete 40-minute game, which was exciting. We knew how difficult this of a place this was from past experience. I just thought our mentality was right. We set the tone from the first quarter and really never looked back. I thought we were able to get so many different contributions on the offensive end, but it was our defense and our rebounding that separated us. A tremendous road win for us, our first one. JMU's a great team. They're really well-coached. They're a really talented team. They're going to have a lot of success in their league. Just excited about a really tough road win that we made it look easy."
 
Breaking Down The Game

• Maryland opened up a big lead in the first quarter with Owusu scoring a team-high 10 points in the frame. The Terps led 29-10 after the first quarter.
• Reese and Owusu each scored four points in the second quarter as the Terps used a balanced attack to take a 46-23 lead into halftime. 
• Bibby scored seven points in the first 3:02 in the third quarter, including her second three-pointer of the game. The Terps ended the third quarter on a 12-2 run to enter the fourth quarter up 68-36.
• The Terps defense suffocated the Dukes in the fourth quarter, only giving up nine points final frame. 

Double-Figure Games

• Bibby tallied 10-plus points for the 53rd time in her career and first this season.
• Owusu had her 45 career game (third this season) in double-figures. 
• Reese was in double-figures for the second time this season and 10th time in her career. 
• Sellers hit double-figures for the third time in as many games in her career.

• Maryland is 12-1 all-time vs. James Madison.
• In the most recent matchup at JMU, Maryland won 70-68 on Nov. 13, 2019. The Terrapins trailed by 19 in the fourth quarter before coming back to seal the win.
