LINCOLN, Neb. – The University of Maryland volleyball team dropped its series opener vs. #4 Nebraska, 3-1, on Friday evening at the Devaney Center in Lincoln, Nebraska.

What You Should Know
- Maryland's second-set win was the Terps' first set win at Nebraska since taking a set at the Devaney Center on November 1, 2014. It was also Maryland's first set win vs. the Huskers since November 14, 2015, when Maryland lost 3-1 in College Park.
- Senior outside hitter Erika Pritchard paced the Terps in kills with 13. She also added seven digs and three blocks.
- Jada Gardner tallied 10 kills and three blocks.
- Rebekah Rath notched eight kills, added six digs, and served a pair of aces.
- Nicole Alford paced the team with 31 assists. She aldo added eight digs, three blocks, and a service ace.
- Rainelle Jones had a team-high 5 blocks, while fellow middle blocker Cara Lewis added four.
- Sam Burgio led the Terps in the pass game with a team-high 17 digs.
- Maryland takes on Nebraska in the second match of the two-match series in Lincoln on Saturday at 8:30 p.m. on the Big Ten Network.
