
Maryland Takes on Rutgers Wednesday Afternoon

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland men's soccer team will travel to New Jersey to take on Rutgers on March 3. The match will kickoff from the Sport Club Field at noon. Fans can listen to the match on Rutgers radio or follow through live stats.
RUTGERS STORYLINES

Maryland is 11-1-0 against Rutgerrs all-time, including an undefeating record since both programs entered the Big Ten in 2014. Rutgers is 2-1-0 so far this season with victories over Michigan State and Wisconsin bookending a loss to Penn State. Sophomore midfielder Jackson Temple and sophomore goalkeeper Oren Asher have led the way for the Scarlet Knights so far this season.

Four of Maryland's freshmen played big roles in the opener against Penn State. Jacen Russell-Rowe and Joe Suchecki both scored goals, while Ben Bender was a big aspect of the Terps attack. After giving up three goals in the first half, Jamie Lowell grew into the match between the sticks. All four started and played significant minutes in Maryland's loss to Ohio State, while fellow freshman Alex Nitzl made his Maryland debut.
