COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Each week during the 2020-21 season a Maryland student-athlete, who has shown excellence on and off the playing field, will be selected as the Solomon Eye Associates Terp of the Week. This week's Solomon Eye Associates Terp of the Week is sophomore Ayana Akli from women's tennis. 

Akli is currently ranked No. 30 in the nation in singles play by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), and is the second highest ranked Big Ten player. The Terp is 10-2 at the No. 1 spot, and remains undefeated (5-0) alongside doubles partner Eva Alexandrova. The pair are currently ranked No. 76.

Akli and the Tennis Terps will face Rutgers this Friday, April 2 at 1:00 p.m. in Piscataway, N.J.
