
Maryland Wraps Up Competition at Husker Big Ten Invite

PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas – The Maryland Outdoor track and field team concluded this weekend's meet at the Husker Big Ten Invite.
The men's 4x100 team of Kamari Trotz, Joe Ewan, Cameron Vereen and Caleb Dean earned the No. 8 spot in the Maryland record books with a time of 40.97s.

- In the 1500m run Christine Laurie posted a time of 4:36.60. Sarah Daniels, Katie Ericson and Sophie Zell also competed strong for the Terps.
- Senior Leah Blackall earned a third place finish in the triple jump with a final mark of 12.46m.
- Cheyenne Jones ran a time of 56.95s in the 400m dash.
- Jaida Smith and Bria Mack competed in the 100m dash final finishing at 11.67s and 11.84s, respectively.
- Kami Joi Hickson ran a final time of 2:14.94
Men's Notes
- The men's 4x100 team of Kamari Trotz, Joe Ewan, Cameron Vereen and Caleb Dean finished with the eighth best time in Maryland history, 40.97s.
- Kobe Simpson led the way for the Terps in the 400m with a final time of 48.46s followed by Aaron Robinson and Travis Valmon.
- Kaithon McDonald placed 4th in the men's high jump with a mark of 2.04m (6'8.25)
