Four From Track & Field Earn CSC Academic All-District Accolades
COLLEGE PARK, MD – Four members of the Maryland cross country and track and field programs earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors as announced by the organization on Tuesday afternoon.
The Terps had a trio of women earn the honor along with one from the men's side. Representing the women's cross country/track and field programs were Rose Coats, Maya Valmon, and Jennessa Wolfe. From the men's program, Fin Essley earned the honor for the first time in his career.
The 2026 Academic All-District® Men's Track & Field teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the track, in the field, and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes men's track& field honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced July 14, 2026 (men) and July 15, 2026 (women).
